Share of Flat Shoes in Obuv Rossii Sale Exceeded 70% in 1H 2018

Obuv Rossii, the first publicly traded company in the Russian fashion retail, observes growth in its flat shoe sales. According to the results of the first six months, the share of such shoes in retail sales in pairs exceeded 70%. Flat shoes include models of the semi-sport style (canvas sneakers, low-top canvas shoes, sneakers, etc.), casual (loafers, slip-on shoes, espadrilles, etc.), and classical shoes (ballerines, oxford shoes, etc.).
“We have been observing growing popularity of comfortable flat-soled shoes for several seasons in a row. It’s a global trend that echoes on the Russian market too,” says Elena Khvorova, head of the Procurement and Sales department of Obuv Rossii. “Sales grow in all flat shoe categories. If we compare the first six months of 2016 and 2017, the share of such shoes in retail sales increased from 65 to 71%.”
Flat shoes are included in the collections of all main brands in Obuv Rossii: Westfalika, Peshekhod, Rossita, Emilia Estra and Lisette. The Company also develops a separate all.go brand in the shop-in-shop format: shoes of the semi-sport and casual styles (sneakers, canvas sneakers, etc.). Branded all.go trading stands are presented in all retail chains of the Group.
